Samsung launches affordable Galaxy J7 Prime and Galaxy Tab A (2016, 7.0”) Wi-Fi

Samsung announced the launch of the affordable Galaxy J7 Prime smartphone and the Galaxy Tab A (2016, 7.0”) Wi-Fi tablet in Singapore today. The J7 Prime is a 5.5-inch smartphone powered by Samsung's octa-core Exynos 7870, while the Tab A 2016 is a 7-inch tablet powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410.

Samsung announced the launch of the affordable Galaxy J7 Prime smartphone and the Galaxy Tab A (2016, 7.0”) Wi-Fi tablet in Singapore today. The J7 Prime is a 5.5-inch Full HD smartphone powered by Samsung's octa-core Exynos 7870 processor, while the Tab A 2016 is a 7-inch tablet powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor. 

 

The J7 Prime has an all metal body and a curved back for a more ergonomic grip. The phone also has a fingerprint scanner embedded in the Home button for added security. On the back of the phone there's a 13-megapixel, f/1.9, 28mm camera module, while on the front, you get an 8-megapixel, f/1.9 selfie camera with various selfie features including Real-time Beauty Face, Wide Selfie and Palm Selfie. The J7 Prime has 16GB internal storage and a microSD card slot that supports cards up to 256GB.

The compact Galaxy Tab A (2016, 7.0”) Wi-Fi is a slim 7-inch tablet with a 1,280 x 800 pixels resolution display. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor and is armed with a 4,000mAh battery for extra-long battery life. The tablet has a pre-loaded Radio app that doesn't require a Wi-Fi connection to work.


 

 

Both devices will launch on 8 October, with the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime available in White Gold or Black at a recommended retail price of S$398 while the Galaxy Tab A (2016, 7.0”) Wi-Fi will be available in Black at a recommended retail price of S$168 from selected consumer electronics stores, authorised retailers, Lazada.sg and Samsung Experience Stores. The Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime will also be available at all local telecommunication operators.
