While most rumors suggest that Samsung will equip the Galaxy S10 with an in-display fingerprint sensor, the latest report claims otherwise. Samsung might introduce that feature on a new Galaxy P series phone model.

A Chinese source tipped that the Galaxy P30 (model number SM-G6200) will be the first Samsung phone to sport the in-display fingerprint sensor. There would be a Galaxy P30+ model as well and both could be exclusively to China.

The introduction of a flagship feature like an in-display fingerprint sensor on a non-flagship model is not surprising; Samsung announced the Galaxy A7 which is its first phone with a triple-lens camera.

The upcoming A9 could be the first Samsung phone to have four rear cameras. This is part of a new market strategy to bring new technologies to the midrange models before they arrive on the flagship devices.
