Samsung Galaxy S III's Possible Specs, Launch Date, Press Photo and More
Reports regarding Samsung's anticipated flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S III, surface once again in cyberspace with claims of possible specs, launch date, press image, and water-resistant characteristic.

It’s been a while since we talked about Samsung’s anticipated flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S III. For a quick recap, allegations claim that the Galaxy S III will sport a 4.8-inch display, smaller than the 5.3-inch Galaxy Note. Its screen will feature a full HD resolution (1920 x 1080p) and a 16:9 aspect ratio. Inside, it will be powered by Samsung’s very own Exynos processor clocked at 1.5GHz, running on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).
On PhoneArena, a suspected press photo of the Galaxy S III recently surfaced, hinting at the phone’s possible launch date, March 22. The exact date when Samsung will officially announce the Galaxy S III remains unknown, but one observer, Eldar Murtzain, confirmed through a tweet, that the S III has been finalized and will go to production. He added:
“Preorders from operators/retailers are really highest for all Galaxy line history (finally – ceramic).”
On another report, P2i, an electronics waterproofing firm, revealed that it is in talks with large Korean manufacturers about making their handsets water-resistant. As far as we know, there are only two major Korean phone manufacturers that are well-known in the industry and these are Samsung and LG. Assuming that this discussion has been taking place with Samsung for quite a while, there’s nothing bad about speculating that the S III might turn out to be a water-resistant smartphone as well.
