Multiple sources have indicated the same launch date, 12th August for Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge+.
Based on information provided by sources at Taiwanese telcos, DigiTimes reported first that Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Note 5 in New York on 12th August and the device will hit major markets two days later. SamMobile followed up later with a similar report although it indicated a different date of availability - 21st August.
SamMobile is also able to confirm that the Galaxy Note 5 will have no memory card slot, which was hinted in a leaked video a week ago. The Galaxy Note 5 will inherit the same design language as the Galaxy S6 with super thin bezels.
While there is no mention of an automatic ejectable S Pen stylus, SamMobile claims that the stylus will look and feel more like a pen in the Galaxy Note 5. The S Pen also matches the color of the device, which will reportedly come in black, white, silver and gold.
Other rumored specs of the Galaxy Note 5 include a 5.7-inch Quad-HD Super AMOLED display, an Exynos 7422 chipset, a non-removable 4,100mAh battery and 4GB RAM.

As for the Galaxy S6 Edge+, SamMobile states that it will be powered by the Exynos 7420 processor and not the rumored Snapdragon 808 processor. Unlike the Galaxy Note 5, it will only come with 3GB RAM. It is alleged to have a 6.85mm thin chassis.
It is believed that Samsung wants to give its new devices more breathing space by launching it weeks before Apple is expected to unveil its new iPhones on 8th September.
