Samsung launches Galaxy A54 5G and Galaxy A34 5G for budget-conscious users who want more (updated)
Things like Nightography and AI-assisted imaging, a big display, and longer battery life are now in the more affordable Galaxy A54 5G and Galaxy A34 5G handsets.

Samsung announced its 2023 mid-range Galaxy mobiles on 15 March 2023, bringing us the Samsung Galaxy A54 5G and Samsung Galaxy A34 5G.
According to its official statement, Samsung's new Galaxy A-series handsets offer the brand's renowned Nightography and AI-assisted imaging capabilities, on top of perks that help users shoot steady and crisp videos. Also included are features to help users remove unwanted shadows and reflections in its enhanced editing tools. In addition, both models offer improved optical image stabilisation (OIS) and video digital image stabilisation (VDIS).
Galaxy A54 5G and A34 5G run on the latest Samsung One UI 5.1 (based on Android 13), packing classic Samsung enhancements like Samsung Knox security. The company also promises up to four generations of OS upgrades and five years of security updates for both handsets.

The Galaxy A54 5G packs a 6.4-inch, Super AMOLED display (FHD+ resolution, about 1080p) with 120Hz refresh rate and Vision Booster for better viewing experiences under various lighting conditions.
Cameras include a 50MP main (f/1.8 aperture, AutoFocus, OIS), a 12MP ultra-wide, and a 5MP macro shooter on the rear. The front is a single 32MP selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture.

It also has a 5,000mAh battery, with 25W wired fast-charging, and expandable storage up to 1TB via a MicroSD card slot. Inside is a Samsung Exynos 1380 processor.
The global release comes in 6GB and 8GB RAM variants, going between 128GB to 256GB storage. However, it's not yet clear which model will arrive in Singapore.
Samsung Galaxy A54 5G comes in four colours (Awesome Lime, Awesome Graphite, Awesome Violet, and Awesome White), and will arrive in Singapore come April 2023.

The Galaxy A34 5G isn't very different from the Galaxy A54 5G, save for its camera configuration and chipset.
It offers a slightly larger 6.6-inch Super AMOLED display with the same FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate paired with Vision Booster.
It also has a 5,000mAh battery, with 25W wired fast-charging, and expandable storage up to 1TB via a MicroSD card slot, much like the Galaxy A54 5G.

Rear cameras are slightly different, with a 48MP main (f/1.8 aperture, AutoFocus, OIS) paired with 8MP ultra-wide and a 5MP macro camera on the rear. The front camera is a 13MP selfie shooter instead. The chipset choice for this model is MediaTek's Dimensity 1080.
The Samsung Galaxy A34 5G is available in four colours globally (Awesome Lime, Awesome Graphite, Awesome Violet, and Awesome Silver). The phone also arrives in Singapore come April 2023.

Samsung Galaxy A54 5G and Galaxy A34 5G are available in Singapore starting from 7 April 2023.
You can find them at the Samsung Online Store, physical Samsung Experience Stores, and Samsung's official storefronts on Lazada, and Shopee. They are also at our major telcos (M1, Singtel, StarHub) and major consumer electronic stores around our island.
