Samsung Mobile Singapore adds new members to its entry-level Galaxy lineup with the local launch of the Galaxy A16 5G and Galaxy A16 LTE.
As the successors to the Galaxy A15 series, which launched in Singapore earlier this year, the Samsung Galaxy A16 series offer a bigger 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display and a thinner design at 7.9mm.
In comparison, the Galaxy A15 has a 6.5-inch screen and a slightly thicker chassis at 8.4mm.
The Samsung Galaxy A16 series also does not sacrifice ergonomics; it boasts a key island design that helps users have an easy and intuitive grip, making it more comfortable to hold.
These entry-level phones are powered by an octa-core processor, 8GB RAM, and a huge 5,000mAh battery that is stated to provide up to 18 hours of video playback. While Samsung Singapore did not specify which processor type or brands that are used.
Samsung pledged six generations of software updates (One UI and Android OS updates), alongside six years of Samsung Security Maintenance Releases (SMR).
Other specs include Samsung Knox (a defence-grade, multi-layer security platform to protect personal data from hardware-based attacks), IP54 dust and water resistance, a rear triple-lens setup (50MP f/1.8 main camera + 5MP f/2.2 ultra-wide + 2MP f/2.4 macro), a 13MP f/2.0 front-facing camera, and 128GB internal storage space with microSD expansion option up to 1.5TB.

The Samsung Galaxy A16 series is now available from M1, Singtel, Starhub, Samsung Online Store, Samsung Shop App, Samsung Experience Stores, Samsung Official Stores on Lazada and Shopee, and major consumer electronics and IT stores.
