Samsung Announces Galaxy M Style for The Mass Market

Samsung adds another member to the Galaxy series with its announcement of the Galaxy M Style smartphone. Primarily aimed at the mass market, the Samsung Galaxy M Style ships with a 4-inch Super AMOLED display, 1GHz single-core processor and runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

Samsung has just announced the latest member of the Galaxy family of smartphones, the Galaxy M Style. 

Based on its specs, the Samsung Galaxy M Style is likely to be positioned as an entry level device for the mass market. The company also promised that it will be "reasonably priced". Some of its specs include:

  • 4-inch Super AMOLED display 
  • 1GHz single-core processor 
  • Android 2.3 Gingerbread 
  • 3-megapixel rear camera + VGA front facing camera 
  • 1650mAh battery 

According to Samsung Singapore, the Galaxy M Style will not be available here. Although local users miss out on this device, they can consider the Samsung Galaxy W which was launched yesterday. Priced at S$498, the Galaxy W boasts mid-range specs such as a 1.4GHz single-core processor and a 3.7-inch display.
