The Apple iPhone 14 Plus is not doing well in sales numbers according to DigiTimes.
Sources told the publication that the initial sales of the Apple iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus were "lower than expected". The "enthusiastic" response to the iPhone 14 Pro models overshadowed the sales of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus.
Nonetheless, DigiTimes expects the total iPhone 14 shipments to be similar to the iPhone 13 lineup in the second half of 2021. If sales of the iPhone 14 models "remain flat", Apple may be forced to reduce orders of components later this month.
Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo shared last month that the pre-orders for the iPhone 14 Plus are worse than the iPhone 13 mini. Apple reportedly dropped plans to increase production of the iPhone 14 models as the anticipated surge in demand did not happen.
