Samsung Electronics Singapore has responded to the recent problems surrounding the Samsung Galaxy Note7 (both original and returned units).

In response to the three Note7's that allegedly caught fire in the past few weeks, prompting Samsung to suspend production of the Note7, Samsung Singapore said:

"Customer safety remains our top priority. Our colleagues are working diligently with authorities and third party experts to carefully investigate every incident involving the Galaxy Note7. We understand the concerns of our Singapore Note7 customers and we will share the findings when we have completed the investigation. If we determine a product safety issue exists, Samsung will take immediate steps to resolve the situation. As an additional precaution, we are temporarily adjusting the Note7 production schedule in order to take further steps to ensure quality and safety matters.”

And in response to Note7 sales being halted worldwide and a possible recall or refund being issued:

“Samsung Electronics Singapore is in talks with our telecommunication operator and retail partners to work out a resolution for our Galaxy Note7 customers. Details of the remedy will be shared very soon. In the meantime, Galaxy Note7 customers who require a courtesy device on loan (subject to stock availability) can visit the Samsung Customer Service Centre at Westgate (level 3) during operating hours.”
