The Apple iPhone SE may be a product with "same-old technology and features", but it seems to be doing well in the Chinese market.

According to CNBC, Apple received over 3.4 million pre-orders for the iPhone SE through retailers in China. The total sales number in China will be higher if you take into account the direct orders from Apple. Not surprisingly, gold was the most popular color with 1.3 million orders followed by rose gold at 1.2 million.

The iPhone SE was announced on 21st March with pre-orders starting three days later. It will be available for purchase in Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, Singapore, the UK, US Virgin Islands and the U.S this Friday.
