OPPO launches Reno13 F 5G and A5 Pro 5G midrange smartphones in Singapore

OPPO has found great success in the flagship phones arena with the Find X8 Pro and the Find N5 foldable, both of which blew us away earlier this year. Now, the Chinese company looks ready to blow us away with midrange and entry-level alternatives like the OPPO Reno13 F 5G and OPPO A5 Pro 5G.

The OPPO Reno13 F 5G is a lite version of the OPPO Reno13 series that came to Singapore earlier this year. It still offers some of the niceties that its more expensive older brothers do.
Retaining the same design and aesthetic, the Reno13 F 5G also comes with a large 5,800mAh battery, AI photography features, and IP69 dust and water resistance (read what that means here).
The camera array on the back features a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP monochrome macro lens. This means the 50MP telephoto camera from the Reno13 Pro has been omitted here. However, the phone still retains the cool Underwater Photography mode, allowing users to take photos while submerging in water without requiring a specialised case.
Equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor, the phone has flagship-level specs like a 120Hz refresh rate on its large 6.67-inch display, and 45W SuperVOOC wired charging to juice up the phone quickly.
The OPPO Reno13 F 5G retails at S$599 for the 12GB + 256GB configuration and is available in Plume Purple and Graphite Grey. However, it will be available at a discounted price of S$549 from 13 March 2025 onwards.

The OPPO A5 Pro 5G is a true budget smartphone that retails at just S$279. Despite that, OPPO has provided some nifty software features to elevate the user experience.
The phone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chip, LPDDR4X RAM, and UFS 2.2 storage.
It also comes with an IP66+IP68+IP69 dust and water resistance rating, and the phone is also MIL-STD 810H certified, which means it should have enough impact resistance against accidental drops.
The 6.67-inch screen also has a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz, and it's powered by a 5,800mAh battery that supports 45W SuperVOOC wired charging.
This phone (and the Reno13 F 5G) also gets OPPO's AI LinkBoost 2.0 technology, which helps to maintain connection stability and speed even in congested areas like underground subway stations and shopping malls.

The A5 Pro 5G has an interesting Outdoor Mode that optimises the phone's network settings, allocates more network and CPU resources to work apps, and extends the screen timeout duration so the screen doesn't lock itself too quickly automatically.
Outdoor Mode also supports gloves made of different materials, like leather or nylon, making it easier for people to operate the phone without removing safety gloves.
The OPPO A5 Pro 5G retails at S$279 for the 6GB + 128GB storage option, and the Mocha Brown and Bloom Pink options will be available in Singapore from 22 March 2025 onwards.
