Oppo is launching a new range of F series smartphones that will emphasize camera performance and photography. The first phone in the series is the F1, a 5-inch smartphone with 1,280 x 720 pixels resolution display (294ppi), an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 13-megapixel rear camera with an ISOCELL sensor, phase detection autofocus and anti-shake optimization. The rear of the phone is metal, while the sides are metallic plastic.

The phone is powered by Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 616 octa-core 1.7GHz processor and 3GB RAM. Storage-wise, the phone has 16GB internal storage, while a microSD card slot provides expandable storage up to 128GB.

To help with selfies, the F1 features OPPO’s patented Screen Flash technology, which converts the F1’s entire display into a camera flash, with a carefully adjusted brightness level so even selfies taken in low light settings end up looking natural and well-lit. The phone also has Oppo's Beautify 3.0 feature, which will brighten skin, seamlessly removes blemishes, allow users to choose from different beautification modes and apply one of the many available filters.

The F1 will launch in Singapore on 27th February, and will be available in Gold and Rose Gold, priced at S$429, and will be available online at Oppo's online store, as well as all Oppo concept stores, and all M1, Singtel and StarHub stores.
