OnePlus' next foldable phone has been revealed by tipster Yogesh Brar and Chunvn.

The tipsters provided SmartPrix with purported renders of the OnePlus Open 2 which are said to be based on a late-stage prototype. The renders reveal some differences between the upcoming model and the current OnePlus Open:

  • The arrangement of the three lenses in the rear camera module has changed with the Hasselblad branding at the bottom.
  • The rear edges are more curved.

The tipsters shared that the OnePlus Open 2 is bigger yet thinner than the OnePlus Open. When folded, the OnePlus Open 2 is expected to measure just under 10mm, whereas the current OnePlus Open measures about 11.7mm thin (emerald dusk model). For comparison's sake, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 is chunkier at 12.1mm when folded.

Rumoured specs of the OnePlus Open 2 include an 8-inch 120Hz 2K LTPO foldable display, a 6.4-inch AMOLED cover display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite,  up to 16GB RAM and 1TB of internal storage options, 50MP main camera + 50MP ultra-wide camera + 50MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, 32MP + 20MP selfie cameras, a 5,900mAh battery, and OxygenOS 15 based on Android 15.

The OnePlus Open 2 is expected to launch in China early next year before a global release in late Q1.
