Keeping to its promise of improving customer service, OnePlus unveiled a new warranty program in collaboration with several global insurance leaders for its smartphones.

Known as the On-Guard in Europe, the warranty program covers breakage (broken display), accidental damage, damage due to dropping the device, liquid damage and vandalism. OnePlus also states that On-Guard provides worldwide coverage claims. A 12-month warranty package costs  €39.99 (~S$87) while a 24-month warranty package is priced at €64.99 (~S$141)

The warranty service is also available in India in two variants; B2X Service and B2X Protect. The former covers all defects that are covered under the manufacturer's warranty for another year after the expiry of the original manufacturer's warranty for the device. The latter covers accidental, physical and liquid damage during the first year of product purchase. The B2X Service and B2X Protect are priced at  ₹999 (~S$21) and ₹1,299 (~S$28) respectively.

Both warranty services are available in the E.U and India from 2nd November with plans to bring it to other markets in the near future. All new OnePlus smartphones (OnePlus One, OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X) purchased through the E.U stores on oneplus.net are eligible for this warranty service although devices bought prior to this launch are not eligible. As for B2X Service and B2X Protect, they are available for the OnePlus 2. Hit the source links below to find out more about the warranty service if you happen to be in the E.U or India.
