OnePlus confirms affordable smartphone product line is coming

OnePlus just confirmed that it will be releasing a new affordable smartphone soon.  

In a blog post, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau wrote that the company will be bringing the premium, flagship experience to a new, more affordable smartphone product line. 

The team in charge of developing this new lineup of smartphones is led by Paul Yu, who has managed the product hardware development for OnePlus’ flagship devices in the past five years. 

The new, more affordable smartphone is rumoured to be the OnePlus Z, which will be unveiled on 10 July in India. Purported renders and a 360-degree video of the device were posted in December 2019.
