OnePlus celebrates its 10th anniversary with an open letter to its fanbase and teased some OnePlus 12 updates.

Pete Lau, the founder of OnePlus, shared an open letter on OnePlus’s in-house forums (OnePlus Community), reflecting on its affiliations with OPPO, the journey it took from its first OnePlus phone to the OnePlus 11, and the plans it has for its future.
Here are the quick highlights from Pete’s sharing.
OnePlus said it saw an increase of 59% in OnePlus devices sold globally in 2023, compared to the same period last year. Separately, the book-style foldable OnePlus Open was a “rapid sell-out” during its pre-sales, which made the company really happy.
Its future will see the brand focus on the phone’s useability, camera technologies, and AI-optimised software. OnePlus would also pivot to a low-carbon operation to help mitigate electronic waste and promote sustainable consumption practices.
OnePlus has queued up a series of celebatory events and promotions between 9 and 15 December 2023.
Between 9 and 15 December 2023, OnePlus will launch a short film tribute, unveil new products, and host a series of celebrations, events, and promotions on its 10th-anniversary portal here.
The OnePlus 12 will come with a special anniversary packaging that has a thank-you list on its rear.
Finally, OnePlus also shared the packaging design of the OnePlus 12. It will come with a thank-you list on its back dedicated to its hardcore supporters.
