A collection of leaks hinted at Nothing’s midrange phone, Nothing Phone (2a), along with its possible launch date and some key components that would come with the handset.

As reported by Tom’s Guide, the Nothing Phone (2a) saw a leaked launched date by phone tipster Yogesh Brar (@heyitsyogesh on X). A longer list of leaked phone specifications by SmartPrix followed it, days after.

In summary, here’s what the Nothing Phone (2a) is expected to have.

Nothing Phone (2a) is hinted to have a dual rear camera setup, with a 50MP main (Samsung S5KGN9) and a secondary 50MP ultra-wide (Samsung S5KJN1). The phone would likely use MediaTek Dimensity 7200 for its processor, topped off with a 6.7-inch, 120Hz AMOLED panel rated at around Full HD resolution (2,412 x 1,084 pixels). The phone may also have 8GB RAM + 128GB storage as its base version.

Nothing Phone (2a) will also share the Nothing Phone (2)’s iconic Glyph Controls but feature a different, redesigned Glyph (the LED backlights on the device). The phone also starts off with its proprietary reskin of Android 14 (Nothing OS 2.5), which is to be expected given its estimated MWC 2024 launch date.

Right now, other phone details are still up in the air. It’s unclear how much the phone would officially retail at, how much battery it would have, and whether it has perks like wireless charging or IP-rated waterproofing.
