Nothing has finally unveiled the Nothing Phone (2)’s official announcement date: 11 July 2023, 4 PM British Standard Time (making it 11 PM Singapore Time on the same day).

The company shared that information on its Twitter channel via a teaser video. In the clip, it showcased the glyph design that was on the old Nothing Phone (1), along with two tentacle-like appendages.

Perhaps it’s a coincidence that Nothing Phone (2)’s announcement fell on the predecessor’s first anniversary, given that the Nothing Phone (1) was also officially unveiled on the same day last year.

In a separate Tweet, Carl Pei (founder of Nothing) said that Nothing OS 2.0 (the Android reskin of the company’s Nothing mobiles) would be going to the Nothing Phone (1) by end-August.

So far, the teasers revealed that the Nothing Phone (2) would likely be using a 2022 flagship-tier processor (Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1). It would also feature a mildly updated design and comes with three years of Android operating system updates.
