Next Version of Android Will Be Named KitKat
Google's Sundar Pichai, head of both Android and Chrome, has confirmed that the next version of Android will be release 4.4 and will officially be named KitKat, not Key Lime Pie as previously expected.

To date, the release had been referred to by the code name Key Lime Pie, however the company has apparently decided to change it after realizing that "very few people actually know the taste of a key lime pie," director of Android partnerships John Lagerling told the BBC.
According to Lagerling, late last year, someone in the Android team suggested naming the upcoming version KitKat (which is apparently a favorite snack of Android employees) and the company "decided to reach out to the Nestle folks to strike a deal." Within 24 hours an agreement was made, although Lagerling notes that it's "not a money-changing-hands kind of deal." Regardless, Nestle seems intent on capitalizing on the deal, and has announced plans to deliver more than 50 million KitKats featuring the Android mascot to shops in 19 markets.
Nestle Android KitKat chocolate bars are already in production.
