Mi 5X delivers dual cameras, Snapdragon 625 and 5.5-inch display for about S$300
Xiaomi brings dual cameras, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 mobile platform, 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage space and a 3,080mAh battery to the Mi 5X which costs about S$300.

The second new product from Xiaomi's event today is the Mi 5X. Priced at 1,499 yuan (~S$302), Xiaomi is delivering a lot of value for what the Mi 5X packs.
The Mi 5X sports a 5.5-inch Full-HD display and a 7.3mm thin full metal body with rounded edges that weighs just 165g. Running under the hood are the power-efficient Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 mobile platform, 4GB RAM, MIUI 9 and a 3,080mAh battery.
Like the Mi 6 flagship phone, the Mi 5X has a dual-camera setup on the rear which consists of a 12MP wide-angle lens and a 12MP telephoto lens. Similar to the Portrait mode on the iPhone 7 Plus, the dual cameras on the Mi 5X is capable of delivering photos with SLR-style background blur.
Other specs include dual-tone LED flash, phase-detection autofocus, a front-facing 5MP camera, a standalone amplifier with DHS audio calibration algorithm to improve headphone/speaker outputs, a rear fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port and a microSD memory card slot.
The Mi 5X will be available in China from 1st August in three color options (black, gold and rose gold).
