Light working with Sony to improve multi-camera performance on smartphones
Light will combine its multi-camera technology with Sony’s superior image sensors to bring new innovations in the multi-camera imaging space.
Camera maker Light, which came into limelight four years ago with the L16 digital compact camera, announced that it is working with Sony to develop “multi-image sensor solutions”.
The partnership will allow Light to use Sony’s image sensors in its computational imaging solutions and reference designs. The reference designs will combine Light’s multi-camera technology with Sony’s image sensors to create new applications and solutions for smartphones with four or more cameras.

With Sony’s world-class image sensors, we can introduce new innovations in the multi-camera imaging space.”

The collaboration between Light and Sony will certainly benefit smartphone photography, especially when there is a growing number of phones with four or more cameras.
