Remember the LG G4 Stylus? The giant Korean electronics firm has decided to follow up with a new version that will launch with the LG G5 flagship smartphone. The LG Stylus 2 will also share many premium features found on LG flagship models, with a nano-coated tip stylus for accuracy (as opposed to the old rubber-tipped pen).

The new stylus-based smartphone will feature Pen Pop, which will toggle a pop-up menu whenever the stylus is removed from the smartphone itself. Shortcuts on the menu include Pop Memo and Pop Scanner. To let stylus users keep track of their digital pen, LG will also include a new Pen Keeper function where the phone will notify the user via a pop-up message when the LG Stylus 2 smartphone is moving away from the stylus’s location.

The 5.7-inch smartphone itself will be 7.4mm thin, at 145g. It is slimmer and lighter than the predecessor LG G4 Stylus. The new LG Stylus 2 features a Protuded Flat Display on the front, a Spin Hairline pattern on the rear, and a metallic frame around its edges. It comes with a removable 3,00mAh battery and a MicroSD card slot for external storage. The maximum storage space for the card is not disclosed.
