Android Authority learnt from its source that LG is doing away with the secondary display on the V30 phone and will equip the upcoming phone with new multimedia features.

The LG V series has always been known for its signature feature, the secondary display and its multimedia capabilities. This year's V30 phone will be no different except that the secondary display would be axed.
A source told Android Authority that LG is replacing the secondary display with a new "floating bar". The specific features of the "floating bar" are not known at the moment, but it is likely to provide quick access to shortcuts, the status bar and notifications.
The V30 is also said to be the first camera phone to have an aperture of f/1.6 with a Crystal Clear Glass Lens and improved transmittance. The camera app will also have new manual features similar to those found in DSLR cameras such as LG-Log and Graphy, which have specific logging and histogram settings.
On the audio side, the V30 will be equipped with a new Hi-Fi Digital Filter and Sound pre-set as well as Hi-Fi Streaming with MQA. This enables the streaming of hi-fidelity audio in a file size that is easy to download or stream without any of the losses associated with traditional compressed audio files. There will also be Hi-Fi video recording with RAM (receiver as a mic) and a new, built-in Advanced Quad DAC with tuning by Bang & Olufsen.
LG will unveil the V30 on 31st August and it is the first device to have a plastic OLED FullVision display. It is likely to be launched in South Korea on the same day as the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. The global launch is reportedly set for 28th September.
