LG is said to announce its next flagship smartphone, the G4 in April.

While HTC and Samsung battle it out on March 1st for the attention of consumers and tech enthusiasts, LG is said to be taking its time to announce its G4 flagship smartphone.

According to South Korean media reports, sources claim that LG has decided not to compete for the limelight at Mobile World Congress 2015. The company will instead launch the G4 in April, which will provide "some in-between time to make a bigger splash."

The reported timeline fits in the one-year refresh cycle as the G3 was unveiled on May 28, 2014. Judging from the specs of the G Flex 2, it is likely that the G4 will boast a bigger, possibly higher resolution display with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor and 3GB RAM.
