Another highly anticipated Android flagship smartphone will be announced later this month.

LG just sent out media invites for an event on April 28 which will be held in six countries. They are New York, London, Paris, Seoul, Singapore and Istanbul. The Korean company is expected to announce the G4 flagship smartphone, which is likely to use leather in its design as hinted in the image of its invite.

Alleged press images of the G4 leaked earlier this month, followed by leaked images of an actual phone earlier this week, which revealed a new design with a bigger camera lens. Just a week ago, sources told ZDNet Korea that the G4 will have a plastic design due to manufacturing issues though LG will release a metal-clad smartphone later this year.

Nonetheless, LG reportedly has high expectations for the G4 as it sets a 10-million sales target for the phone this year. For reference's sake, the G3 sold between 6 to 7 million units since its launch in May 2014. We will find out more during the launch event on April 28.
