While its counterpart has enjoyed weeks of leaks, the LG G5 had little limelight until last night when photos of the retail unit leaked on an e-commerce website in Dubai. With an IMEi sticker, original packaging and the G5 branding, it is very likely that we are looking at the real deal here.

The photos confirm some of the rumored specs such as the dual-camera setup, the rear fingerprint sensor, a metal design and volume controls on the side. As for the much-talked about hardware expansion slot (also known as the "magic slot"), it's hard to determine if there is indeed one that allows extra functionality via hardware modules such as cameras and a physical keyboard.

It is also unclear from the photos whether the G5 will sport a secondary display like the V10 although LG has teased that the upcoming phone will have an "Always On" display that "never go asleep while others do". What we know for sure is that there is a touch-enabled case for the G5 and it is going to be announced on 21st February.
