Lenovo Releasing Windows Phone Device in Second Half of 2012
Lenovo's LePhone Product Manager, Yue Chen, confirmed that the company will be releasing a Windows Phone device in the second half of 2012.

Lenovo is the latest company to jump onto the Windows Phone platform, with its Product Manager, Yue Chen, confirming that a Windows Phone device would be released during the second half of 2012.
According to Slash Gear, Chen revealed the information during an interview with iMobile, stating that the company already has in place a release schedule for the phone.
iMobile - “We are indeed currently considering a Windows Phone-based LePhone product, and we already have a clear release schedule,” said Chen.
However, Chen did not reveal any information on the specifications of the Windows Phone device. An image leaked last month showed the phone to be running on the latest Windows Phone 7.5 Mango operating system on a possible early prototype that resembled the company's LePhone S2 Android smartphone.
It seems that Lenovo is expanding its market strategy beyond manufacturing laptops and desktops. It has released a handful of tablets including the IdeaPad Tablet K1 and ThinkPad Tablet. The smartphone industry may very well be its next venture.
