Leaked images of Microsoft's next Lumia flagship smartphone

The long wait for a new Lumia flagship smartphone from Microsoft may soon be over as leaked images of what appears to be either the Lumia 950 or Lumia 950 XL have appeared on a Chinese forum. Full details inside.

The long wait for a new Lumia flagship smartphone from Microsoft may soon be over as leaked images of what appears to be either the Lumia 950 or Lumia 950 XL have appeared on a Chinese forum

Since Microsoft purchased Nokia's devices group back in 2013, the company has focused mainly on mid-range and low-end Lumia devices, where Windows Phone has found more success. However current rumors suggest that a new Lumia flagship launch could be imminent with two screen sizes likely: the 5.2-inch 950 and 5.7-inch 950 XL. Right now there seems to be some debate on which model is shown in the pictures below:

The rear of the phone is protected by a case designed to hide its design, however, you can see the rather large and protruding PureView camera module and dual LED flash.

The bottom of the phone shows a USB Type-C port.

Some interesting spec screens. Here you can see the phone is running on Windows Phone 10 build 10240, and has 3GB RAM. The middle screen seems to be video recording settings. Interestingly, it looks like there will be an option for it to shoot at 120FPS at 720p resolution.
