Leaked document reveals new iPhones to sport 12MP camera with 4K video recording

Apple may introduce the "biggest camera jump ever" in the upcoming iPhones as revealed by an internal document of Foxconn.
According to Taiwanese site sogi, a Foxconn employee apparently leaked the document detailing the new camera hardware and specs of the new iPhones. Although the document was taken down, sogi managed to retrieve cached copies of the document.
Known internally as the N66 for the iPhone 6S and N71 for the iPhone 6 Plus, both phones are stated to be equipped with 12-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front-facing cameras. In comparison, the current iPhone 6 models sport 8-megapixel rear and 1.2-megapixel front-facing cameras.

Other specs revealed by the document include 4K video recording, 240fps slow-motion capabilities, a faster Touch ID fingerprint sensor, 2GB RAM, a display with Force Touch, and a new rose gold tone.
Reports of a 12-megapixel camera sensor coming to the iPhone are not new; Kevin Wang, IHS Technology Research Director of China, confirmed in May that the upcoming iPhone models will have 12-megapixel camera sensor with smaller pixel size. KGI Securities also shared the same prediction.
With Android handset makers upping the stakes in the mobile photography, it's about time that Apple catches up with imaging innovations or upgrades of its own on the new iPhones.
