Lawsuit Battle between HTC and Apple Continues
Barely a week after stating its intentions to reach a deal, HTC filed a lawsuit against Apple in Britain on 29 July 2011.

HTC is going on the offensive with the filing a lawsuit against Apple in Britain on 29 July 2011, barely a week after stating that it was ready to reach a deal with Apple over the recent patent lawsuits.
According to Bloomberg, the nature of the lawsuit remains unknown. While a spokesman for HTC's European unit declined to comment, the Apple spokeswoman did not return a call seeking comment.
Apple ignited the patent battle and got the upper hand when the U.S International Trade Commission (ITC) ruled on 15 July that HTC infringed on two Apple patents which are currently used in its Android devices. A few days later, Google stepped in and declared its support for HTC, criticizing Apple for its jealousy and lack of innovation on the iPhone. With this latest development, it seems like the lawsuit battle is far from over.
