Apple is reportedly taking drastic measures to increase production of the iPhone 13 models.
Sources briefed on the matter told Nikkei Asia that Apple has reduced the iPad production so that more components can be set aside for the iPhone 13. The iPad production is said to have reduced by 50% for the past two months, and components for older iPhone models are also being allocated to the iPhone 13.
Consumers are already facing longer delivery times for the iPhone 13 as Covid-19 continues to disrupt Apple's suppliers in Vietnam. Coupled with the power supply restrictions across China, the iPhone production is at risk of being severely affected.
