Huawei's own mobile OS reportedly faster than Android and MacOS

Huawei CEO Ren Zhengfei reportedly said that the homegrown mobile OS is faster than Android and MacOS.

Huawei CEO and co-founder Ren Zhengfei reportedly told a French magazine that the company's own mobile OS is faster than other mobile platforms.

Ren shared that HongMeng OS, also known as Oak OS, will be faster than Android and MacOS as it has less than 5ms processing delay. In addition, the homegrown mobile OS can be used on smartphones, routers, network switches, tablets, computers and data centers.

He also said that Huawei is still working on the mobile OS despite the U.S lifting the trade ban. The Chinese company has filed trademark applications in at least 9 countries and Europe. The mobile OS could be ready for use in phones and tablets later this year in China while the international version could roll out by Q2 2020.
