Huawei is funded by Chinese state security according to the CIA

The U.S intelligence agency claims Huawei is funded by China's National Security Commission, the People's Liberation Army and a third branch of the Chinese state intelligence network.

Huawei is said to be funded by the Chinese state security according to the CIA.

Based on information provided by a source, British publication The Times wrote that the CIA accused Huawei of being funded by China's National Security Commission, the People's Liberation Army and a third branch of the Chinese state intelligence network.

The U.S intelligence agency reportedly shared its claims with the other members of the Five Eyes group. The Five Eyes intelligence-sharing group consists of the U.S, Britain, Australia, Canada and New Zealand. A Huawei spokesperson dismissed the allegations.

“Huawei does not comment on unsubstantiated allegations backed up by zero evidence from anonymous sources,” a Huawei representative told The Times.

Ties between the U.S and China are already strained by the ongoing trade war and the arrest of Huawei's CFO last December in Canada. In addition, the U.S Justice Department accuses Huawei of fraud and stealing trade secrets. In the worst case scenario of U.S banning the use of Android and Windows platforms, Huawei has already prepared its own operating system.
