There's a lot of activity from Huawei these past few days - unsurprisingly of course, with CES 2013 just around the corner. We first heard that the Huawei Ascend W1 will make its appearance at the annual consumer electronics trade show and now according to a recent report, the company is all set to bring, not one, but two Windows Phone 8 devices to the event.

Just to recap, the Ascend W1 will come with:

  • 1.2GHz dual-core processor
  • 4/4.3-inch WVGA display (800 x 480 resolution)
  • 5-megapixel rear camera
  • VGA resolution front camera
  • 512MB of RAM
  • 4GB of internal storage
  • NFC
  • 2,000mAh battery

According to reports, the Ascend W1 will go for 1,499 Renminbi (around US$240) in China. The second device, the higher-end among the two, is expected to be the Ascend W2 or W3, of which we suspect, will be Huawei's answer to Nokia's Lumia 920 and Windows Phone 8X by HTC.
