Huat Pals make a return to Google Pay this CNY period

Google’s Huat Pals make their return to Google Pay from 6 to 18 February.

Users can look forward to collecting in-app goodies and new ways to walk home with attractive prizes, such as a scratch card worth up to S$88 or a device from Google’s Pixel family.

A new in-app game, Huat Match, will make its debut this year, where users will have to match as many auspicious icons as they can with a limited number of moves.

Users can also put their wits to the test with Huat Trivia, or scan CNY items like oranges and paper lanterns with the Huat Scanner to earn special vouchers from local partners such as Irvin’s, Klook, Shopee, ShopBack, and Suntec.

Five new Huat Pals — Xixi Haha, Ah Bong, Macho Meow, Hop Pop and Souper Loong – will be added to welcome the Year of the Dragon. Collect a Huat Pal each time you complete any of the following actions on Google Pay:

• Making eligible transactions above S$5 to merchants via:
  Pay via FavePay QR
  Pay via PayNow QR or UEN
• Send money an amount above S$10 to a friend (*Recipient must be a Google Pay user)
• Purchase movie tickets on Google Pay
• Gift a Huat Pal to a friend and receive one bonus Pal per unique friend you gift

Once all five Huat Pals are collected, users will be able to unlock the legendary Dragon Dance and win one of these attractive prizes:

• A scratch card worth up to S$88.88; or
• A Pixel 8 Pro (worth up to S$1,549); or
• A Pixel 8 worth (worth up to S$1,099)
• A pair of Pixel Buds Pro (worth up to S$299)
• A pair of Pixel Buds A-Series (worth up to S$149)
