HTC to unveil One A9 in October, Butterfly 3 and an updated One M9+ next week?

HTC will be holding an event on 29th September where it is rumored to be unveiling the Butterfly 3 and an updated version of the One M9+. The One A9 is said to be announced next month.

HTC's new series of smartphones for the second half of the year may include the One A9, the Butterfly 3 and an updated version of the One M9+.

Starting off with the hero product (One A9), HTC is said to be planning a multi-city event in the U.S next month to launch the smartphone. The launch will be followed up shortly with a huge marketing campaign. @evleaks reported some of the specs of the One A9 last week which include a 5-inch display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor.

For the Butterfly 3, it is likely to be a global variant of the J Butterfly which was launched exclusively in Japan four months ago. As a quick recap, the J Butterfly comes with a 5.2-inch Quad-HD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB RAM and dual-camera setup on its rear.

As for the updated One M9+ model, not much is known about the device. The One M9+ was initially launched in China with a 5.2-inch Quad-HD display, a 64-bit octa-core 2.2GHz MediaTek MT6795T processor and 3GB RAM. Could the updated model come with a different chipset?
