While previous HTC flagship smartphones faltered in mobile photography, the company is confident that this year will be very different.

During an interview at MWC 2016, HTC's Chief Financial Officer Chialin Chang revealed that the upcoming flagship smartphone will offer "a very, very compelling camera experience". In fact, HTC is very serious about this claim as they've seen what the competition has offered so far. CEO Cher Wang hopes that "this year will be different".

HTC is rumored to be equipping the One M10 with a Sony IMX377 12-megapixel image sensor with 1.55um pixel size, laser autofocus, phase detection autofocus and optical image stabilization. Images of the One M10 have been leaked in the past few weeks and the phone is said to be unveiled at an event in April.
