Google might be launching a mid-range Pixel phone for the emerging markets later this year.

According to Economic Times, the mid-range Pixel phone is part of a bigger strategy by Google to focus on emerging markets such as India. The strategy includes rolling out its smart speakers (Google Home and Google Home Mini), premium laptop PixelBook and other smart home products.

Four senior industry executives told Economic Times that the mid-range Pixel phone will launch around July-August. However, they did not share any information on the specs or price. Other plans include expanding distribution into general trade and allocating more marketing budget to the Indian market.
