Together with the global launch of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ today, Samsung announced that it is partnering with Google Play Music to improve the mobile music experience for its customers.

Starting from April 21, Google Play Music will be the default music player and music service for Android-based Samsung phones and tablets launched this year.  Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ users can also enjoy exclusive features such as the uploading and streaming of up to 100,000 songs. In comparison, general service users can only upload and stream up to 50,000 songs.

Consumers who purchase the Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+ or Galaxy Tab S3 will receive a free three-month subscription to Google Play Music and access to YouTube Red (where available) during the trial period. Unfortunately, customers in Singapore will miss these offers and features as Google Play Music is not officially available here.
