Details of Google's upcoming entry-level Pixel 9 smartphone have been revealed by Android Headlines.

Several sources told Android Headlines that the Google Pixel 9a will have the same display size as the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro at 6.3-inches. This is a tad bigger than the 6.1-inch Pixel 8a.

The Google Pixel 9a is also rumoured to be powered by the Tensor G4 chip with 8GB of memory and will come with 128GB or 256GB internal storage space.

Other purported specs include a 5,000mAh battery (11% bigger than that of the Pixel 8a), 18W wired and 7.5 wireless charging speeds, 48MP main camera, 13MP ultra-wide camera, 13MP selfie camera, and a 8.9mm thin chassis which weighs 186g (2g lighter than its predecessor).

Google is expected to announce the Pixel 9a sometime in March 2025. Despite the bigger display and bigger battery, Android Headlines claims there will be no price hike. The Pixel 8a's launch price was US$499 (~S$659).
