Google Pixel 6 rumoured to contain a Google-made chipset as early as this year
The report from 9To5Google said that it saw documentation from Google mentioning how the "Whitechapel" chipset will be used.

Google Pixel 6 may contain a Google-made chipset, and this could happen as early as this year, 9To5Google reports.
According to the news site, 9To5Google saw Google documentation that said how this year's Pixel phones would be powered on Google's Whitechapel platform. The documentation referred to the chipset as GS101 and said that the Whitechapel platform would be coming to "Raven" and "Oriole", codenames for this year's Pixel phones.
At this point, it's still unclear if those codenames actually refer to the Pixel 6 or the Pixel 5a 5G that was previously leaked. 9To5Google speculates that the chipset's name (GS101) stands for Google Silicon, where Google's hardware and chipset efforts by Google are developed with Samsung's help.
Currently, Google Pixel phones feature a Qualcomm chipset, even as of the Google Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 launched late last year. Google Pixel 4a was the last Pixel officially sold in Singapore (review here).
