Are these new shades and hues better? And how can blue be more “Ultra”? #pixel #google #phone

It wasn’t that long since the event and launch dates of the Google Pixel 10 series were leaked.
Now, it’s the phone colours that have just got the limelight, and we can understand why — Google is allegedly doing away with some of the “safer” phone colours in favour of a different style for its upcoming handsets.
As reported by Android Headlines, the colour changes are a mix of palette and shade swaps. No images were shown beyond the name changes, but it’s a pretty drastic shift after years of selling Obsidian and Porcelain colourways.
- Pixel 10: Ultra Blue, Limoncello, Iris, Midnight
- Pixel 10 Pro: Sterling Gray, Light Porcelain, Midnight, Smoky Green
- Pixel 10 Pro XL: Same as Pixel 10 Pro
- Pixel 10 Pro Fold: Sterling Gray, and Smoky Green
Pixel fans might have noticed a few things about the alleged colours this year. For example, Google is finally doing away with Obsidian and Porcelain, which implies that the new Midnight, Light Porcelain, and Sterling Gray colours might be even more saturated than the ones before.
Some of these colours were previously official Pixel phone case colourways, such as the Limoncello casing for the Pixel 7.
Others were adopted from its A-series phones, such as the Iris colourway from the Pixel 9a, which is now a mainline colour.
Some are completely new, too. For instance, the Pro series and the foldable have Smoky Green, which Android Headlines said is likely a darker shade of green.
The only oddball here is Ultra Blue, especially when Iris already exists. Android Headlines reported that it is a royal-blue hue exclusive to the base Pixel 10 model.
