Less than three weeks after the unveiling of the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL phones, Droid-Life claims that it has obtained information on Google's plans for their successors next year.

A reliable source reportedly told Droid-Life that Google might be working on three Pixel phones for 2018 where two phones would be positioned as "high" end tier and the other as "premium". This is similar to the strategy adopted by Apple this year with the iPhone 8/8 Plus and iPhone X.

The three code names for the 2018 Pixel phones are "crosshatch", "albacore" and "blueline". The source added that these code names might be changed to A, B and C to mask their identities. Droid-Life has already spotted one of the code names in an AOSP listing.
