Google likely to use Samsung GN1 50MP sensor for the Pixel 6 phones
The Google Pixel 6 phones are reportedly using Samsung's first-generation 50MP smartphone camera sensor.

The upcoming Google Pixel 6 phones are likely to use Samsung's mobile image sensors.
Spotted by @Cstark_27, a string of code in Google's new Camera app reveals mentions of "p21" and "gn1_wide" which refer to the Pixel 6 phones and image sensor respectively.
The "gn1_wide" is actually Samsung's first-generation 50MP mobile camera sensor which was announced in May 2020. The ISOCELL GN1 50MP mobile image sensor has a pixel size of 1.2μm and comes with two key features: Dual Pixel and Tetracell. Samsung recently unveiled the second-gen image sensor which has a larger pixel size and Dual Pixel Pro.
Google confirmed that the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will launch "later this fall".
