Galaxy S7 and S7 edge users can share Wi-Fi connection with other devices

Samsung has added a neat feature on its latest Galaxy S7 and S7 edge smartphones - the ability to share your Wi-Fi connection connection through Wi-Fi with other devices!

Bought your shiny new Samsung Galaxy S7 or S7 edge? Well, there is a nice feature, Wi-Fi sharing, found in the phones which is surprisingly not highlighted in marketing materials.

By enabling Wi-Fi sharing, your Galaxy S7 or S7 edge functions as a Wi-Fi repeater or extender for other devices. What this means is that you can share the Wi-Fi connection on your Galaxy S7 or S7 edge through Wi-Fi with other devices. This feature can be enabled via Settings > Mobile hotspot and tethering > Mobile hotspot > More > Enable Wi-Fi sharing.

The only use case for this feature is when you need to connect another mobile device to the same Wi-Fi network and you forget the password. For now, Wi-Fi sharing is exclusive to the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge.
