Over at Weibo, Oppo told its followers that they would be sharing more details about ColorOS 12 sometime between mid-to-late September 2021 (this month) through an online livestream.

The Oppo-made interface will be based on Android 12, and pack several (if not all) features seen in Google's upcoming stock interface for phones. However, Oppo will be using its own design language for its UI. While details are sparse, the firm did share a handful of ColorOS 12 default wallpapers to sate curiosity.

Chinese technology portals like GizChina have said that the interface would start its rollout in China before going to the rest of the world. An interesting feature teased is “Cross-Screen Interconnection”, where Oppo implemented a system similar to Huawei’s Multi-screen Collaboration for cross-platform use.
