BlackBerry Z10 Available from 7th March Onwards at All Three Telcos (Update)

Available in either Black or White, the first smartphone powered by BlackBerry 10, the Z10, will retail for S$918 inclusive of GST through SingTel, StarHub, and M1 from 7th March. Additionally, SingTel will be taking pre-orders from today onwards, with StarHub and M1 allowing customers to register their interest.

BlackBerry has finally launched the long-awaited BlackBerry Z10 in Singapore today. The first smartphone powered by BlackBerry 10, the smartphone will be available through SingTel, StarHub, and M1 in Singapore on 7th March.

Additionally, SingTel will be taking pre-orders from today onwards, with StarHub and M1 allowing customers to register their interest now at their respective websites.

Powering on a 1.5GHz dual-core processor with 2GB of RAM, the mobile device comes with LTE connectivity, 16GB of internal storage, and an expandable memory card slot that supports up to 64GB. Other features include a micro HDMI out port for presentations, and NFC to support mobile payments. Of course, the device runs on the latest BlackBerry 10, of which we have comprehensively covered earlier on here.

The BlackBerry 10 OS is a complete overhaul from its previous iterations, with the company choosing to focus on a gesture-reliant way of navigation. As you can see, the operating system bears some resemblance to popular mobile OSes like Android and iOS.

The Z10 comes with a plastic textured back that makes the phone easy to hold. We were hoping for it to come with a brushed metallic surface instead, based on the official photos.

Some accessories were shown at the event, including BlackBerry Z10 leather pocket and flipshell casings.

The BlackBerry Z10 will be available in both black and white shades. We personally prefer the black one since it's classier and less prone to unsightly stains.
