It may seem as though BlackBerry is going "all-in on Android phones", but CEO John Chen assured loyal fans of BlackBerry 10 (BB10) that this is not the case.

In a blog post published on 8th January, Chen said that the company will continue to invest in BB10 in 2016. He assures consumers and enterprise users of BB10 that the company will roll out several security and privacy enhancements this year. Chen also reiterated that there will be a second Android-based smartphone this year although it is too early to share more details about the roadmap.

The success of the BlackBerry Priv probably motivated Chen to go ahead with plans to develop a second Android phone. Despite being primarily a business phone, the BlackBerry Priv is rated one of the best camera phones in 2015 by DxOMark which should help boost its appeal to mainstream consumers.
