BlackBerry Key2 is official; joins the dual-camera module party with new keyboard

BlackBerry has unveiled its next Android smartphone with a physical keyboard, the Key2.

BlackBerry just unveiled the successor to the KEYone, the Key2 at an event in New York City. 

Three new features include a dual-12MP camera module on the rear which has portrait mode and an "optical superzoom" mode, an improved physical QWERTY keyboard with 20% taller keys, better spacing and a matte finish, and an additional "Speed Key" button for customizable actions such as instat access to frequently used apps or calling a favorite contact. 

Other specs include a 4.5-inch LCD display (1,620 x 1,080 pixels), a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 platform, 6GB RAM, Android 8.1 Oreo with monthly security updates, 64GB/128GB storage options, a 3,500mAh battery which supports Quick Charge 3.0, USB Type-C port, a textured back and Series 7 aluminum frame. 

The BlackBerry Key2 is available in black and silver, and will be released globally later this month at a retail price of US$649 (~S$865).
