Belkin's Auto-Tracking Stand Pro automatically swivels and tilts to keep you in frame during videos (Updated)

If you make a lot of video calls on your iPhone, or if you're a content creator who uses your iPhone to take videos, you'll absolutely love the new Belkin Auto-Tracking Stand Pro that was announced at CES 2024. 

Not only is it a stand that uses MagSafe to hold your phone securely in place and charge it, the Auto-Tracking Stand Pro also automatically tracks you as you move around – much as its name suggests. 

It's able to do so because it adopts Apple's DockKit framework, and it's apparently the first device to do so. At any rate, the stand is able to swivel a full 360 degrees and tilt up or down with 90 degrees of movement.

The stand pairs with iPhones via NFC, and once paired, the iPhone and stand will work together through the DockKit framework to recognise a face and keep it in frame even when moving around. This works in both portrait and landscape mode and with both the front and rear cameras. 

The functionality is enabled when using the native Camera app, FaceTime, and popular third-party video conferencing apps.

The stand also has a built-in battery that offers up to five hours of use, although it can also be used wired with a USB-C port that can charge both the stand and an attached iPhone via MagSafe wireless charging at up to 15W.

Pricing and availability (Updated)

Priced at US$179.99 (~S$240), Belkin has the Auto-Tracking Stand Pro listed as "coming soon" on its US website. There's no pricing or availability for Singapore yet, but we'lll update this article once we know more.

The Belkin Auto-Tracking Stand Pro with DockKit is available now for S$259 at Lazada and Shopee, as well as retailers like Best Denki and Challenger.
